Acceptable Use Policy
These rules cover what you can and cannot do on Recursiv. They apply to anyone using the platform, including agents, integrations and end users you bring on.
Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the Terms of Service. It applies to all use of the Service by you, your agents, your integrations, your team members, and any end users you grant access to applications you build on Recursiv. Violations may result in suspension, termination, content removal, and reporting to authorities where appropriate.
Prohibited content
You may not use the Service to create, store, transmit, generate, or distribute content that is illegal under applicable law; child sexual abuse material; non-consensual intimate imagery; content that incites or threatens violence; content that promotes self-harm; content that discriminates against or harasses individuals based on protected characteristics; content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; or content that violates export-control or sanctions law.
Prohibited activities
You may not use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam); operate phishing, fraud, or credential-harvesting schemes; deceive users about the source or authorship of content; impersonate Recursiv, another individual, or another organization without authorization; circumvent rate limits, billing, or access controls; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without authorization; introduce malware, viruses, ransomware, or destructive code; mine cryptocurrency on Recursiv compute without our express written permission; or interfere with the Service’s availability for other users.
AI-specific prohibitions
You may not use AI features of the Service to generate deepfakes or synthetic media that misrepresent real people without consent; produce content intended to mislead voters or interfere with elections; generate biological, chemical, radiological, or nuclear weapons information; perform unauthorized profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on people; circumvent the safety guardrails of upstream model providers (Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, etc.); or train competing foundation models on outputs of the Service in violation of upstream provider terms.
Account and security abuse
You may not share your credentials with others, create accounts using false identities, evade prior suspensions or terminations, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, apps, or organizations. You must use strong authentication, rotate credentials promptly when exposed, and report suspected security incidents to [email protected].
Network and platform abuse
You may not use the Service to launch denial-of-service attacks; relay traffic in ways that obscure the origin to evade abuse policies of third parties; scrape Recursiv or third-party services in violation of their terms; or operate proxy, VPN, or anonymization services using Recursiv compute.
Reporting violations
To report a violation of this policy, email [email protected] with the URL, account, or content you believe is violating the policy and a brief description. We review reports promptly. Submitting a fraudulent report is itself a violation.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations using logs, telemetry, and reports. We may suspend, throttle, or terminate accounts; remove content; revoke API keys; refer matters to law enforcement; or take other actions we deem appropriate. We will give reasonable notice where practical and safe to do so. Where immediate action is required to protect the Service, our users, or third parties, we may act first and notify after.
Pass-through to your end users
If you build customer applications on the Service, you must require your end users to comply with the substance of this AUP through your own terms of service. You are responsible for enforcing those obligations in your application. We may suspend or remove access to features that are being abused by your end users; you remain responsible for the actions of those users under the Terms of Service.
Reservation of rights
We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. We are not obligated to monitor user activity, and the absence of enforcement does not waive our right to enforce later. Compliance with this policy does not relieve you of your responsibilities under applicable law.
